Our Truth

We do more than provide resources. We build relationships. We connect people with mentors who’ve walked this path and made it through. We surround them with support groups, recovery partners, and a network of people who see their worth, even when they can’t see it themselves.

The CBS Evening News Segment included clips of our Hope Gathering recovery meeting (above). You’ll notice folks with their hand in the air. This was in response to being asked the question: “How many of you have overdosed?”

The Hope Resource Center was featured on CBS Evening News. The story covered the impact of the life saving antidote Naloxone on the decline in opioid related overdose deaths*.

*While fatal opioid overdoses have declined overall, overdose deaths continue to increase among black males and among people who use stimulants such as crack cocaine and methamphetamines. There is much work to be done to carry a message of hope to the still sick and suffering.

HOPE + Southwest Messenger

Led by women who once were sex workers, members of the Hope Dealer Community gathered on July 11, to listen to the personal stories of eight women and two men who have overcome sex trafficking or addiction to find the power of recovery.
